Summary
A method is given for an indirect, extraction photometric method for the determination of small amounts of bismuth, lead and thallium. It is based on the displacement of these metals from weakly colored complexes with antipyrine-4-dithiocarboxylic acid by means of nickel ions. The nickel complex absorbs strongly at 575 nm. The mutual influence of these metals on their determination was investigated. Ni, Ag, Cu, Co, Hg, Zn and Cd do not interfere with the determination after the addition of cyanide.
