Studies in qualitative inorganic analysis. Part XXXIV

A systematic procedure for the identification of selenite, selenate, tellurite, and tellurate

  • Published:
Microchimica Acta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

A procedure is described for the qualitative identification of selenite, selenate, tellurite, and tellurate by means of their precipitation as silver salts, followed by a series of selective and characteristic reduction tests on these precipitates. Tellurate may also be identified via precipitation of its calcium salt.
