Summary
A trace analytical method has been developed that permits the determination of titanium and vanadium in highly purified graphite. The addition of PbCl2 as thermochemical reagent makes it possible to determine titanium and vanadium by means of the simple emission spectrographic carbon arc method down to 1·10−7%. The purity of the spectral carbons is not adequate to satisfy the procedure.
