Summary
A description is given of the modification of the apparatus developed byFeigl andKrumholz for the detection of hydrogen fluoride. The modified apparatus provides the possibility of producing a drop of water of any desired size on the glass knob of the stopper which is provided with capillary openings. The variable formation of a hanging drop is possible even when the apparatus is closed and should the drops fall off during the analysis, it is not necessary to weigh out a new sample since the drop can be renewed at once.
