Summary

A significant increase in the accuracy of the determination of oxygen is attained by sharp dehydration of commercial iodine pentoxide (for analysis) at 180° C in high vacuo and by treatment with elementary bromine of the cracked gas arising during the determination of oxygen and by repeated conduction through a reaction tube heated to 600° C as well as by subsequent cooling of the gaseous reaction products to-80° C.

Résumé

On a pu atteindre une augmentation importante de la sûreté de l'analyse dans le cas du dosage de l'oxygéne, par déshydratation poussée de l'anhydride iodique commercial, par exemple à 180° C sous vide élevé et par traitement des gaz de craquage qui se forment avec le brome élémentaire et nouveau balayage dans un tube à réaction chauffé à 600° C ainsi que refroidissement successif des produits de réaction gazeux à-80° C.
