Iron(III) complexation with 2,4,5-trihydroxypyrimidine

Summary

Iron(III) complexation with 2,4,5-trihydroxypyrimidine(II) has been spectrophotometrically studied. The proposed method for the determination of iron using (II) is selective and sensitive and is comparable to the methods using similar pyridine derivatives. The complexation has also been applied to acid-base titrations.

Zusammenfassung

Die Komplexverbindung von Fe(III) mit 2,4,5-Trihydroxypyrimidin(II) wurde spektrophotometrisch untersucht. Die zur Eisenbestimmung mit II vorgeschlagene Methode ist selektiv und empfindlich und den Bestimmungsmethoden mit analogen Pyridinderivaten vergleichbar. Die Komplexbildung wurde auch für SÄure-Basetitrationen verwendet.
