Summary
A model in terms of controll engineering theory is worked out for the simple coulometer, of which the generating current is proportional to the difference between actual and set point signal. The theory suggests the choice of a lead network to speed up the analysis. It was possible to titrate amounts of 10–50 neq. of chloride within 6 seconds with a standard deviation of about 0.4% rel.
