Studies in qualitative inorganic analysis. Part XXXVIII

The reaction between copper(II) sulphate solution and vanadates in solution

  • Published:
Microchimica Acta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The test commonly given using copper(II) sulphate solution to distinguish between pyro- and meta-vanadates has been examined and shown to be incorrect. The investigation has shown that the test can be used, and has established that the colours of the precipitates previously given should be reversed.
