Eine Bestimmungsmethode für Fette und Öle mit Hilfe der Ringofentechnik

Zusammenfassung

Werden Lösungen von Ölen und Fetten, sowohl mineralischer als auch vegetabilischer Herkunft, auf Filterpapier aufgetragen und auf dem Ringofen in einer Ringzone konzentriert, so erhält man scharf ausgebildete transparente Ringe. Deren Vergleich mit der Intensität von Standardringen einer haltbaren, in gleicher Weise hergestellten Hartparaffinskala ermöglicht eine (halb)quantitative Bestimmung von Ölen, Fetten, Wachsen. Die Hartparaffin-Standardskala muß jeweils für jede Art des zu bestimmenden Stoffes individuell geeicht werden. Am Beispiel der Bestimmung von Rizinusöl wird die Methode erläutert.

If solutions of oils and fats, both of mineral and vegetable origin, are placed upon filter paper and, on the ring oven, washed into the ring zone, sharply outlined translucent rings are formed. The comparison of these rings with the intensity of standard rings of a stable standard scale, prepared in the same way from hard paraffin, allows a (semi)quantitative determination of oils, fats and waxes. It is necessary to standardize the hard paraffin standard scale individually for each kind of substance to be determined. The example of the determination of ricinus oil illustrates the procedure.
