Zusammenfassung

Glutaconaldehyd ist ein empfindliches Nachweisreagens für Sulfonamide. Deren quantitative Bestimmung mit Glutaconaldehyd ist in reiner salzsaurer Lösung durchführbar (Konzentration 0,5 ppm). Die Nachweisreaktion ist wegen des störenden Einflusses des ubiquitären Harnstoffes für die quantitative Bestimmung von Sulfonamiden in Körperflüssigkeiten nicht geeignet. Sie ist dagegen für den semiquantitativen Nachweis von Sulfonamidrückständen in biologischem Material geeignet.

Summary

Glutaconaldehyde is a highly sensitive reagent for testing sulfonamides. A quantitative determination of sulfonamides in a concentration of 0.5 ppm in acidic solution is possible. In turn — due to disturbances provoked by urea ubiquitously present ¬ the reaction proves unsuitable for quantitative determination of sulfonamides in body fluids. The glutaconaldehyde is primarily suited for a quick and simple semiquantitive determination of the sulfonamide residues in biological materials.
