Summary
An investigation was made of the possibility of employing the precipitation reagent (KX) as elution agent for the dissolving of difficultly soluble compounds AgX (X = Cl, Br, I, CNS) on the capillary carrier S&S5892. Thereby, more metal ions were transferred fromP pz to Ptz than is the case when AgX is washed with water. Hence a solution of AgX in the form of complexes was indicated. Proceeding from the assumption that the complexforming reactions between AgX and KX on the capillary carrier do not differ essentially from those that occur in the free liquid, a quantitative expression was set up and tested for the solution of AgX in elution agents. This expression can be employed successfully when working with capillary carriers with the ring furnace methodology.
