Summary
The relation between the dimensions of an apparatus for the quantitative micro hydrogenation and the related maximum attainable precision is presented in formula fashion. In accord with the result of the computation and with due regard to the practical viewpoints, a description is given of an apparatus with whose aid it is possible to measure the hydrogen consumption accurately down to ± 1μl. The device operates on the compensation method; a micrometer burette is used for determining the volume.
