Spektralphotometrische Bestimmung von Mikrogramm-Mengen Titan mit 1-(2-Pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (PAN)

Zusammenfassung

Vierwertiges Titan bildet in Gegenwart von Wasserstoffperoxid mit PAN einen roten, extrahierbaren Komplex. Die Reaktionsbedingungen wurden untersucht und eine Arbeitsvorschrift zur spektralphotometrischen Titanbestimmung ausgearbeitet. Die Kennzahlen der Methode werden angegeben. Das Verfahren ist sehr empfindlich. Ascorbinsäure maskiert Titan vollständig gegen PAN; auf dieser Grundlage kann die Bestimmung auch neben anderen Metallen durchgeführt werden.

Summary

In the presence of hydrogen peroxide, titanium(IV) reacts with PAN to form a red complex that is extractible. The reaction conditions were investigated and a working procedure developed for the spectrophotometric determination of titanium. The characteristic factors of the method are stated. It is very sensitive. Ascorbic acid masks titanium completely against PAN; on this basis it is possible to carry out the determination even though other metals are present.
