Zur Problematik der Bewertung von Analysenverfahren. I. Beitrag zur Bewertung des systematischen Fehlers

Zusammenfassung

Die Zweckmäßigkeit der Anwendung der Methoden der mathematischen Statistik bei der Bewertung der Richtigkeit einer analytischen Methode wurde am Beispiel der Mikro- bzw. Semimikromethode zur Bestimmung von Schwefelspuren (0,1 bis 0,002% S) in organischem Material gezeigt. Es wurde bewiesen, daß es bei der Verbrennung der Probe im leeren Quarzrohr und spektrophotometrischer Endbestimmung von SO₂ in den Verbrennungsprodukten zum thermodynamischen Gleichgewicht zwischen SO₂ und SO₃ kommt. Die physikalisch-chemische Interpretation des systematischen Fehlers der Methode wurde durchgeführt und damit auch die Berechtigung zur Einführung der Korrekturfaktoren erwiesen.

Summary

The suitability of applying mathematical statistics in the assessment of the correctness of an analytical method is shown in the case of the microor semimicromethod for the determination of traces of sulfur (0.1–0.002% S). It was shown that if the sample is burned in an empty quartz tube and the final determination of sulfur dioxide in the combustion products is made spectrophotometrically a thermodynamic equilibrium is set up between SO₂ and SO₃. The physical-chemical method was conducted and thus also the justification for the introduction of the correction factors was proved.
