Summary
The polarographic behavior of uranyl complexes with acetylacetone, dibenzoylmethane and 8-hydroxyquinoline was investigated in propanediol-1, 2-carbonate, N,N-dimethylformamide, N,N-dimethylacetamide and in dimethylsulfoxide. The position of the half-wave potentials (vs. aqueous saturated calomel electrode at 25°), the nature of the limiting currents, their dependency on the temperature between 15° and 35° and the influence of water are described. In the case of reversible processes, the stability of the complexes in the solution are estimated. Due to the good solubilities of the chelate complexes in the solvents used and the validity of the Ilkovič-equation for the waves (c=5 · 10−5 − 3 · 10−3m) it is possible to analyse polarographically the precipitated or extracted uranyl complexes.
