Contribution to the analysis of volatile phenols in effluents

Zusammenfassung

Die Überprüfung der Methoden zur Spurenbestimmung flüchtiger Phenole in Abwässern (0,01 bis 0,5 ppm) ergab bei normaler Destillation zirka 10% und bei Wasserdampfdestillation zirka 20% zu niedrige Resultate. Eine modifizierte Destillationsmethode wird beschrieben.

Summary

Examination of methods for the trace-determination of volatile phenols in effluents (0.01–0.5 ppm) did show as a result losses of approximately 10% and 20% for normal distillation and steam distillation respectively. A modified method of distillation has been developed.
