Summary

The quantitative determination of ultramicro amounts of Co (II) may be conducted by titration of the thiocyanate complex with 0.001M EDTA. Any foreign ions present are removed in advance with aid of the ring furnace technique. Silver and chromium (III) do not interfere, wheras Cu, Bi, W, UO2, Ti and Al must be masked prior to the determination.
