Summary
In the radiometric determination of the hydrogen and oxygen contents of organic compounds, the authors have treated with carbon 14 the water that is equivalent to the hydrogen or the oxygen content of the compounds. To achieve the microanalytical accuracy in the measurement of the activity of the endproduct, they followed the laws of the statistical decomposition in the gauging of the specific activity and in the choice of the measuring period. They secured microanalytical reproducibility in the analyses by preselection of the impulse.
