Summary

Fructose and other ketohexoses give a green coloration when heated with a solution of phenol in glacial acetic acid to which some concentrated sulfuric acid has been added.

Fruktose und andere Ketohexosen geben bei leichtem Erwärmen mit einer Lösung von Phenol in Eisessig, der etwas konz. Schwefelsäure zugesetzt wurde, eine grüne Färbung.

Résumé

Le fructose et d'autres cétohexoses donnent naissance à une coloration verte lorsqu'on les chauffe avec une solution de phénol dans l'acide acétique glacial à laquelle on a ajouté un peu d'acide sulfurique concentré.
