Identification of minute amounts of metals and alloys by electrosolution and electrophoresis

  • Published:
Microchimica Acta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

A simple scheme is described for extraction from the surface of metals and alloys of minute amounts of material in a state suitable for direct electrophoretic separation and analysis. The techniques of electrophoretic separation and of identification of the metals after separation are discussed with reference to examples and illustrations. The technique is suited for the investigation of very small particles of metals and alloys.
