Properties of gravitoinertial reference systems

Abstract

A summary is given of a series of papers of the author on gravitoinertial reference systems (gravito-IRS) in which the following questions are resolved: a) analogues of inertial reference systems — gravito-IRS — are introduced into GTR; b) conserved quantities with a clear physical interpretation are obtained by variational methods using transformations between such reference systems as symmetry transformations; c) using a basis gravito-IRS as a zero reference level of deformations, a theory of elasticity is constructed in GRT, and several of its applications are considered.

The results are compared with results of other analogous investigations.
