Summary

  1. 1.

    The stored energy during proton irradiation depends on the type of alkali halide crystal, i. e., the stored energy increases with increasing lattice energy.

  2. 2.

    In the dose range investigated there are two stages, namely, a fast stage which is associated with F centers, and a slow stage which depends on complex electronic centers.
