Summary
Simple, direct, and sensitive low temperature phosphorimetric methods for the determination of 2,4-D, 2-naphthoxyacetic acid, and Silvex in EPA solvent are described. The minimum detectable amounts are 0.1 p. p. m. for each pesticide. The ranges of linearity of the analytical calibration graphs are 0.1–40, 0.3-60, and 0.5- 80 p. p. m. for Silvex, 2-naphthoxyacetic acid, and 2,4-D respectively. The procedure for 2,4-D has been applied to the analysis of a solid commercial formulation.
