Summary
Cadmium is extracted from 5 liters of water into chloroform after reaction with diethyldithiocarbamate and determined by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Analysis of the Great Lakes system and ground waters of Essex County, Ontario, indicate that the distribution of cadmium is in the range 0.1–1.0 ppb.
