Summary

Use of Salicylaldehyde for the Spectrophotometric Determination of Fe(III)

The characteristics ofp-hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillin and salicylaldehyde as colour reagents for Spectrophotometric determination of Fe(III) were examined. Salicylaldehyde proved the best and was used in development of a simple and sensitive procedure, which is applicable to the Spectrophotometric determination of Fe(III) in estuarine sediments.
