Summary
Thirty-two patients suffering from a stroke due to a hemispheric infarct and treated in a rehabilitation department were studied for a period of three months. They were regularly assessed by quantified EEG and mapping (three measurements) and by quantitative measurements of their performances in motor ability, activities of daily living and speech (four measurements). No correlation was found between their clinical improvement and the modifications of their EEG. Similarly no correlation was found between the initial EEG data and the clinical outcome.
