Titrimetric determination of arsenic using luminol as indicator

Zusammenfassung

Ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Arsen(III) wird beschrieben, das auf der kontinuierlichen Zugabe des Titrationsmittels Hypobromit und Endpunktindikation mittels Luminol beruht. Im Äquivalenzpunkt tritt Chemilumineszenz auf, die mittels eines Foto- widerstands registriert wird. Die Standardabweichung für 150μg Arsen(III) beträgt 1,5%. Das Verfahren wird zur Analyse von Arsentrioxid-Aerosol angewandt.

Summary

A procedure for the determination of arsenic(III) is described, based on titration with hypobromite using luminol as indicator. The chemilumi-nescence arising at the end point is detected by a photo resistor. The standard deviation for 150μg arsenic is 1.5%. The procedure is applied for the analysis of aerosol samples of arsenic trioxide.
