Influence of unilateral cortical spreading depression on intraspecies aggression and sociability of isolated mice

Conclusions

  1. 1.

In male mice of the BALB/c line, it was shown with the aid of spreading depression that aggressive forms of behavior are controlled primarily by the left hemisphere, and intraspecies sociability (investigation of a partner), by the right.

  2. 2.

Interhemispheric asymmetry of the control of behavior is more strongly expressed in high aggressive mice than in low aggressive and unaggressive individuals.
