Rapid elimination of barium-137m from guinea-pig heart muscle cells

Summary

Experiments concerning the disturbance of the137Cs to137Bam equilibrium in muscle cells were performed with perfused guinea-pig hearts. It could be calculated that137Bam is eliminated with a half-life of about 17 sec from the heart muscle cells into the coronary venous effluent.
