Conclusions

  1. 1.

Specific binding of 5α-DHT, corresponding to the androgen receptors according to the value of the measurable Kα and hormonal specificity of affinity, was detected in 0.4 M KC1 extracts of human prostate adenoma nuclei.

  2. 2.

Specific binding of progesterone, corresponding in its characteristics to the progestin receptors, was detected in the same material.

  3. 3.

A very low level of specific binding of estradiol is detected in nuclear extracts of prostate adenomas.

  4. 4.

Receptors for glucocorticoids are not detected in nuclei of prostate adenomas.
