Conclusions
-
1.
A complex of thyroxine with purified cytoplasmic receptorin vitro increases the template activity of chromatin, increasing the number of transcription initiation sites.
-
2.
The cytoplasmic thyroxine receptor and the hormone, tested separately, do not exhibit pronounced acceptor properties.
