Regulation of genetic activity of thyroid hormones. I. Effect of purified cytoplasmic hormonereceptor complex on the template activity of chromatin

  • Published:
Neuroscience and Behavioral Physiology Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A complex of thyroxine with purified cytoplasmic receptorin vitro increases the template activity of chromatin, increasing the number of transcription initiation sites.

  2. 2.

The cytoplasmic thyroxine receptor and the hormone, tested separately, do not exhibit pronounced acceptor properties.
