Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Two complexes of 4-aminoazobenzene with BF3 have been obtained.

  2. 2.

    From a study of the UV and IR spectra it has been shown that in the complex C6H5N2C6H4NH2 · 2BF3 addition takes place at the azo group and in the complex C6H5N2C6H4NH2 · BF3 at the amino group.
