Conclusions

A study was made to determine if cyclopropanecarboxylic acids and their vinylogs can be synthesized by starting with the cyclopropane and gem-dichlorocyclopropane aldehydes.

Methods were developed for the synthesis of cyclopropanecarboxylic and gem-dichlorocyclopropatiecarboxylic acids.
