Summary
By condensation of sodium triphenylsilanolate with 1,4-bis(dimethylchlorosilyl)benzene, we synthesized for the first time 1,4-bis[dimethyl(triphenylsiloxy)silyl]benzene, which is a crystalline substance with m.p, 237–238°, distilling at 465–475° without decomposition.
