Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

The syntheses of cis-1,2,6-trimethyl-4-piperidone and of the two corresponding epimeric secondary alcohols were carried out, and the configurations of these compounds were proved.

  2. 2.

The reaction of phenyllithium with cis-1,2,6-trimethyl-4-piperidone was studied. The two epimeric 1,2,6-trimethyl-4-phenyl-4-piperidinols and their propionic esters were prepared.
