Communication 3. Reaction of mercury salts of trinitromethane with nitro derivatives of aromatic compounds

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

The reaction of the mercury salt of trinitromerhane with aromatic nitro compounds was studied.

  2. 2.

Unlike other mecurating agents, the mercury salt of trinitromethane forms addition products with aromatic nitro compounds in which one molecule of the salt and one of the aromatic nitro compound are combined.

  3. 3.

A structure is proposed for the complex.
