Summary
-
1.
The following organogermanium compounds containing unsaturated radicals were prepared for the first time:
-
2.
It was shown that, in presence of benzoyl peroxide, sulfuryl chloride chlorinates trichloroethylgermane with formation of a 1 : 9 mixture of trichloro(1-chloroethyl)- and trichloro(2-chloroethyl)-germ anes.
-
3.
It was found that quinoline readily eliminates HCl from trichloro(2-chloroethyl)germane with formation of trichlorovinylgermane.
