Summary
Two general solutions to the linear theory of micropolar thermoelasticity are presented; one representation involves deformation potentials, the other employs stress-functions. The two representations are used to analyze the thermal stresses and thermal couple stresses in the vicinity of a cavity and a rigid inclusion during uniform heat flow.
