Synthesis of aliphatic amino dicarboxylic acids from thiophene

Summary

By hydrogenolysis of the corresponding thiophene derivatives, the following aliphatic amino dicarboxylic acids were prepared: 2-aminodecanedioic, 2-aminoundecanedioic, and 5-aminotridecanedioic acids.
