Summary
-
1.
Experimental and theoretical investigations were carried out on various processes for the complex direct reduction of multimetal iron and nickel ores, these processes being examined as a technological basis for the chemical treatment of the ores by methods that we have proposed.
-
2.
This work established the theoretical and technological principles underlying the process of reducing these ores in such a way that the metals to be extracted showhigh reactivity in the subsequent chemical treatment.
-
3.
The optimum conditions were found for carrying out the process efficiently under industrial conditions, and suggestions are made with regard to the plant required for the process.
