Summary
-
1.
It has been shown that addition of hydrogen sulfide to isobutyl vinyl and isoamyl vinyl ethers in dioxane in presence of HCl under conditions similar to those previously described for other vinyl ethers again results in the formation of mixtures of α,β- and β,β′-dialkoxy derivatives of diethyl sulfide.
-
2.
A study has been made of certain chemical reactions of new homologs in the series of dialkoxy-diethyl sulfides and β,β′-dialkoxydiethylmercaptals.
