Summary
-
1.
The polymerization of styrene in presence of ferric chloride and in presence of stannic chloride has been studied.
-
2.
It has been established that when styrene is polymerized in an atmosphere of air in presence of ferric been studied.
-
3.
In an atmosphere of nitrogen and in presence of ferric chloride and in presence of ferric chloride, styrene does not polymerize.
-
4.
When the process is activated by stannic chloride, the polymer of styrene is formed both in an atmosphere of air and in an atmosphere of nitrogen.
