Summary
-
1.
Five silicon-substituted alkyl- and chloroalkyl-phosphonic dichlorides were prepared by reaction of phosphorus trichloride and oxygen with trichloropropylsilane, with trichloro(1-chloroethyl)silane, with trichloro(2-chloroethyl)silane, with dichloromethylpropylsilane, and with triethylvinylsilane.
-
2.
Resins formed by hydrolysis of the compounds synthesized are of low flammability.
