Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

When arenechloroboronic esters are treated with organornagnesium compounds, diarylborinic esters are formed. In this way some unsymmetrical diarylborinic esters were obtained.

  2. 2.

By the action of phosphorus pentachloride on unsymmetrical diarylborinic esters, unsymmetrical diarylchloroborines were prepared for the first time.

  3. 3.

Diarylchloroborines react with organomagnesiurn compounds with formation of triarylborines. By this method triarylborines having three different aryl groups were prepared for the first time.

  4. 4.

By the action of 1-naphthyllithiurn on unsymmetrical triarylborines, lithium tetraarylborates containing an asymmetric boron atom were obtained.
