Abstract
A novel method has been developed for synthesizing N2-guanylcarboxylic acids by reaction of 2-chloro-7-benzyl-hypoxanthine with amino acids and debenzylation of the 7-benzyl-N2-guanylcarboxylic add products by means of palladium catalyzed hydrogenation.
