Summary

  1. 1.

Diethyl hydrogen phosphorothionate has been prepared by the addition of sulfur to diethyl hydrogen-phosphite in presence of one of the following amines; triethylamine, pyridine, and diethylaniline.

  2. 2.

Ethyl esters, some mixed alkyl esters, and some mixed ester-amides of mono- and di-thionopyrophosphoric acids have been synthesized.

  3. 3.

Tests have been made of the action of the synthesized substances on the corn weevil, and four of them have been tested on white mice and guinea pigs.
