Summary
-
1.
It has been shown that alkyl orthotitanates and trialkoxychloro-, dialkoxydichloro-, alkoxytrichloro-titaniums form crystalline double compounds with piperidine having the composition (RO)n TiCl4−n. C5H10NH. n = 1, 2, or 3).
-
2.
It has been found that the reaction between alkyl orthotitanates and titanium tetrachloride (the reverse of disproportionation) proceeds smoothyl in presence of the calculated amount of piperidine with formation of double compounds of piperidine with alkoxychlorotitaniums in high yield.
-
3.
Double compounds of the following compositions have been prepared: (C2H5O)3TiCL · C5H10NH; (n-C3H7O)3TiCl · C5H10NH; (C2H5O)2TiCl2 · C5H10NH; (n-C3H7O)2TiCl2·C5H10NH; (n-C4H9O2TiCl2 · C5H10NH; n-C3H7OTiCl3 · C5H10NH; n-C4H9OTiCl3 · C5H10NH; CH2 = CH-CH2OTiCl3 ·C5H10NH
