Summary

Condensation of 2-methoxybuta-1:3-diene with 1-methylcyclohex-1-en-6-one and methyl methacrylate gives the p-substituted products (III) and (XIII), the structure of which was established by converting them into the known compounds (VIII) and (XV), which were also synhesized by standard methods, for their identification.
