Zusammenfassung
In zahlreichen Mycelpilzen sowie einigen Sproßpilzen ist bei Kultivierung in Nährmedien mit Hippuratzusatz Hippurathydrolasewirkung nachzuweisen. Die mögliche Bedeutung der Hippurathydrolase beim Abbau der aus dem tierischen Stoffwechsel stammenden Hippursäure im Rahmen des biologischen Kreislaufes der Stoffe wird diskutiert.
Abstract
When grown in media containing hippurate various moulds and a number of yeasts showhippurate hydrolase activity. The possible biological function ofhippurate hydrolase in the degradation of hippuric acid, an excretion product of animal metabolism, will be discussed.
