Abstract
3-Alkyl 2-quinoxalones and phosphorus oxyhalides give the corresponding 2-chloro- and 2-bromo-3-alkyl quinoxalines. The reaction with nucleophiles (methanol, ethanol, ammonia and aniline) was investigated for 2-chloro-3-decyl quinoxaline. From 2-halogeno-3-alkyl quinoxalines the corresponding 2-hydrazino-3-alkyl quinoxalines have been prepared.
